Join us for the 2018 edition of Spin-Out Day on the 23th of May at DTU Skylab. Tap into the passion, drive and ingenuity of DTU students from different tech fields within – Maritime, Energy, Smart City, IoT, Social Entrepreneurship, Sensors, FoodTech and many other innovative areas.
The students from the HardTech Entrepreneurship course have applied all their academic knowledge, innovative skills and entrepreneurial mindsets to find ways to take advanced technology in the form of DTU research or patents, as well as inventions, technologies or challenges from private companies to market, by creating the backbone of a potential new spin-out company.
Through an intense process of technology assessment, market research and validation (by reaching potential customers/stakeholders), and prototype development, around 200 students in 35 teams are now ready to pitch their innovative ventures and show their prototypes to potential investors, partners and/or customers, in order to make the next step.
HardTech Entrepreneurship is a DTU course-incubator developed and taught by DTU’s Associate Professor Thomas J. Howard. The course’s goal is to bring the best technological ideas forward by joining engineering Master’s students from DTU, business/marketing Master’s students from CBS (in collaboration with CBS’ Associate Professor Nicolaj Højer Nielsen), and technological challenges, inventions, or patents from Danish companies, to create the companies of tomorrow.
Spin-Out Day – 23rd of May 2018 from 8:00 to 18:30 – Is open for everyone. If you are an investor, institution or a company representative, please sign up here:
“It’s no use closing your eyes to the changes. We need to constantly keep up and try to influence the process.”
